Coffee Talk may very well be the best open mic in the valley. Great atmosphere, great crowd, great performances every week. Drawback: the list often has 30+ performers on it and you may wait awhile to hit the stage. The wait, however, is well worth it.
I have seen Mike and Brian at many open mic venues. They have an excellent collection of originals as well as some covers that you do not expect to hear.
Dave is in the witness relocation program....wait...no...the mic is in the way. Dave is a reg at many open mic spots and has a forte of Croce-type mellow guitar classics.
Greg knows 1.5 million cover tunes and gets more sing-along stuff going than anyone I have seen at open mic. He also sings great harmonies.
I originally met Billy at the Coffee Bean in east mesa. He has a really strong voice and some great original music.
These are some great friends of mine and I finally convinced them to join me at an open mic. Paul is a big time drummer and Steve a fancy fiddle champ as a youth in the state of Oregon.
