Bio

Her music reflects a varied background and colorful interests. Raised in strong folk music tradition her own music is drenched with raw emotion, with elements of jazz, funk, Celtic music and rock infusing her songs and bare intimate thoughts.  Award winning songs that carry you away as you hang onto the kite tails of her lyrics and drift through a blue sky of masterful guitar music.

She has built her fan base through friendship with her audience and with many local artists in Arizona. This performer has a good sense of what the audience wants to hear.  Her modern style reflects influences of Patty Griffin & Shawn Colvin, Gavin DeGraw’s earthy folk sound with Howie Day,  and Dar Williams’ lyrical ability.  Her creative and experimental tunings are influenced by Ani Difranco, David Wilcox, and Dar Williams.

Sandy Hathaway performs over 150 live shows each year, perfecting her sound and technique.  She has toured the Unites States from Arizona to New Jersey between June 15th and July 31 2005 and is a self supported indie musician.
